Label2Prod vs Rovo Dev, Atlassian's Jira coding agent
Choose Atlassian's Jira coding agent when your code is on Bitbucket Cloud or GitHub Cloud and you want the agent built into Jira. Choose Label2Prod when your code is in GitLab, which Atlassian's agent does not support.

When Atlassian’s Jira coding agent fits
Your code is on Bitbucket Cloud or GitHub Cloud, you are on Jira Standard or Premium, and you want the agent built into Jira itself. Rovo Dev, now called the Jira coding agent, then starts from a work item and prepares a draft pull request without another vendor.
When Label2Prod fits
Your code is in GitLab. Atlassian’s list of supported repositories for its Jira coding agent names Bitbucket Cloud and GitHub Cloud, so GitLab teams cannot use it to open merge requests. Label2Prod starts from the same Jira issue and opens the merge request in GitLab.com or your own GitLab.
You don’t need to be a developer to take an issue that far. Anyone who can label the issue starts the fix, and the merge request explains in plain words what was wrong and what changed. It also puts proof in every change: a test that fails before and passes after, run with your suite on a clean copy before the merge request opens. And it reports every step as a new comment on the Jira issue, so the history is never rewritten.
Jira Enterprise
At the time of checking, Atlassian’s setup guide says its Jira coding agent is not yet available on Enterprise plans. Label2Prod works with any Jira Cloud site you can connect.
